› Health benefits
Some studies have suggested that German chamomile is helpful when taken for anxiety. It is also used to treat sleeplessness and gastrointestinal issues such as gas, upset stomach and diarrhea. There have been reports that chamomile has negative interactions with the blood thinner warfarin and also cyclosporine (used to prevent rejection of transplanted organs). Because of this, there may be side effects when used with other drugs, but there have not been enough studies completed to know for sure.
