Ingredients
- 2 bottles red zinfandel wine
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 cup (8 oz.) agave (you could try maple syrup!)
- 2 lemons, zested and juiced
- 2 oranges, zested and juiced
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 star anise
- 10 cloves
- 8 ounces brandy
Instructions
- In your crock pot (or just a regular pot on the stove if you don't have a crock pot!), dump in the wine, cider, agave, lemon and orange juice.
- In a cheesecloth orcheesecloth bag, add all the zest.
- In another one, add all the spices.
- Add both to the pot!
- Cook on really really low (if on the stove) or high heat (if in a cockpot) for 2-4 hours. The most heat you want to give the wine is a very low simmer.
- When you're ready to serve, stir in the cup of brandy and have fun!
