Finger Foods

The ultimate in finger food is a canapé. Easy to make and easy for guests to grab and go, canapés feature toast or crackers layered with a savory spread and topped with pretty much any combination of meat, cheese, veggies, and herbs you enjoy.

Try: Spiced Pear Wasa

To make: Spread a thin layer of ricotta cheese on a Light Rye Wasa Cracker and top with several thin pear slices and a handful of pomegranate arils. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon and drizzle with honey.

The sky really is the limit when it comes to people-pleasing canapés. Try these topping combos on a variety of Wasa crispbreads:

  • Mix dill with cream cheese and spread on a crispbread. Top with smoked salmon, several sprigs of fresh dill and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Top crispbread with a cottage cheese and pesto mixture. Layer with prosciutto and sun-dried tomatoes. Garnish with fresh, bright basil leaves.
  • Spread hummus over crispbread. Add mandolin-sliced carrots and cucumber. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh parsley.

Bruschetta is another classic finger food appetizer. A Sourdough Rye Wasa crispbread makes the perfect pairing with this simple and savory Bruschetta with Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto.
