Smoky Maple Baked Beans

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup Grandma’s® Molasses
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp Four Sixes Smoky Maple Seasoning Blend
  • 2 (15) oz cans Great Northern Beans or Navy Beans, drained but not rinsed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 8x8-inch pan with cookingspray; set aside.
  • In a cold skillet, add the chopped bacon and turn on heat tomedium-high.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the fat is rendered andthe bacon is starting to crisp.
  • Add the onion and cook 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, oruntil the onion is translucent.
  • Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  • Turn the heat down to med-low and add the tomato sauce,molasses, water and seasoning.
  • Stir well to blend and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in the beans until well coated with the sauce.
  • Pour mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
