Maker of natural cleaning and laundry products, Boulder-based Boulder Clean was recently honored with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2017 Safer Choice Partner of the Year award. Safer Choice–labeled products must meet the EPA’s standards for environmental and human health, and the program has close to 500 partners.
“We formulate all of our products to be Safer Choice,” says Carly Marriot, brand manager. All of Boulder Clean’s products, from surface cleaners to laundry to dish washing, are plant-based and biodegradable, with natural essential oils like cold-pressed Florida orange oil. “It’s a pretty neat thing, because along with smelling wonderful and fresh, the orange oil also helps cut grease,” says Marriot.
