It seems everyone struggles through the day without enough sleep, and often relies on stimulants like caffeine or a sugary candy bar at 4. However, not getting enough sleep on a regular basis can have serious health consequences that are far greater than simply being tired. “Cherries have many benefits, such as reducing pain and inflammation, but cherries also improve your sleep since they contain melatonin,” says Karliin Brooks, author of Squeeze Life.
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 cup frozen cherries, pitted
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Blend all ingredients together until silky smooth.
